Tien Sa Port Shore Excursion — My Son Sanctuary & Hoi An (UNESCO)

This is the UNESCO route from Tien Sa Port — two of Vietnam's most significant archaeological and architectural heritage sites in one day. My Son Sanctuary is a collection of Hindu temple ruins built by the Cham civilisation between the 4th and 14th centuries, set in a forested valley. Hoi An Ancient Town is a remarkably preserved trading port with Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese architecture still intact. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This excursion requires the longest docking window of the four Tien Sa options — but offers the most cultural depth.

• 07:30: Pickup at Tien Sa Port gate with name board
• 08:45–09:00: Arrive at My Son Sanctuary
• 09:00–11:00: My Son Sanctuary — main temple groups, museum, optional Cham dance show
• 11:00–11:30: Drive to Hoi An
• 11:30–13:00: Hoi An Ancient Town — Japanese Covered Bridge, old houses, riverside
• 13:00–14:00: Lunch in Hoi An (driver waits)
• 14:00–15:00: Return drive to Tien Sa Port
• 15:00: Back at port

• Go early to My Son. The site is exposed with limited shade — arriving before 09:30 means cooler temperatures and fewer group tour buses.
• Bring water, a hat, and sun protection for My Son. The paths between temple groups are open and can be hot by mid-morning.
• My Son entrance ticket is not included — paid at the gate. The optional Cham dance show runs at set times and adds 30 minutes.
