Many first-time visitors make the mistake of booking a hotel in Da Nang and visiting Hoi An only for a few evening hours. That is enough to see the lantern streets, but it is not enough to experience Hoi An properly.

For first-time visitors, evening is the best introduction to Hoi An. The weather is cooler, lanterns are lit, restaurants are open and the old town feels more atmospheric than during the hot midday hours.

Continue to Son Tra Peninsula for the Lady Buddha statue, ocean views and a calmer side of Da Nang away from the city traffic.
