Hai Van Tunnel vs Hai Van Pass. The tunnel is faster — saves 30 to 40 minutes. The pass is one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Vietnam with panoramic views over Da Nang Bay and the Lang Co peninsula. If you are not in a hurry, the pass is worth requesting — especially northbound with the sea on your right.
For flights out of Da Nang, allow at least 2 hours from the resort to the airport. The Hai Van Tunnel is generally reliable but unexpected closures do occur. For international flights, 2.5 hours is safer.
