Child Seat & Luggage Policy
How we arrange child seats, choose the right vehicle for passengers and luggage, and handle large suitcases, strollers, wheelchairs and other travel equipment.
Choosing the right vehicle depends on more than the number of passengers.
Luggage, child seats, strollers, wheelchairs and oversized items all use vehicle space. Please tell us about them before your trip so we can arrange the most practical vehicle.
Child seats are available on request, subject to availability. If you need one, please tell us your child's age and, when possible, approximate height and weight.
Child Seats Are Available on Request
Families travelling with young children can request a child seat when booking a Minh Vu Travel private car.
We can arrange different types of child seats depending on the child's size and requirements.
Because children of the same age can have different heights and weights, we prefer to look at the child's actual size rather than rely only on age.
Infant Seat
Infant seats can be arranged for younger babies. Rear-facing infant seats are available on request, subject to availability.
Toddler Child Seat
Child seats suitable for toddlers and younger children can be arranged based on the child's approximate age, height and weight.
Booster Seat
Booster seats can be requested for older children who still need additional height and support when using the vehicle seat belt.
Tell Us About Your Child Before Booking
To help us prepare the most suitable seat, please send your child's age, approximate height and weight when possible.
A child's age alone does not always tell us which seat will fit best.
If you have a specific requirement, such as a rear-facing infant seat, please tell us clearly when booking so our team can prepare the appropriate seat and vehicle arrangement.
How Much Does a Child Seat Cost?
This is the normal additional charge for an infant seat, child seat or booster seat arranged for the booking.
The child-seat type and final price will be confirmed before your trip.
Please Request Child Seats in Advance
Child seats are not permanently kept in every Minh Vu Travel vehicle.
They are prepared according to confirmed bookings. We therefore recommend requesting your seat before the travel date.
Last-minute requests can still be checked, and we will try to help where possible, but the preferred seat type may not always be immediately available.
Safety & Applicable Transport Requirements
Minh Vu Travel follows the applicable Vietnamese transport and road-safety requirements for the services we provide.
Where a particular seating, passenger-safety or transport requirement applies to your booking, our team will help arrange the service accordingly.
If we need additional passenger information or a specific seating arrangement for your trip, we will tell you during the booking process.
Check the Child Seat Before the Journey
Our driver can help prepare and position the requested child seat in the vehicle.
Because every child is different, we also encourage the parent or guardian to check the seat before departure and make sure they are comfortable with the child's seating position.
If something does not look right, tell the driver or message Minh Vu Travel. We will try to find the best practical solution before the journey continues.
Passenger Seats and Luggage Space Are Not the Same Thing
A vehicle may technically have enough seats for your group but still not have enough space for all of your luggage.
Large suitcases, several checked bags, child seats, strollers and other equipment all reduce the available luggage space.
For that reason, we choose the vehicle based on the complete booking, not only the number of passengers.
Which Vehicle Is Best for Your Luggage?
Smaller Groups
A 4-seat car can work well for a smaller group travelling with a reasonable amount of luggage. Available space depends on the number and size of the bags.
More Space for Families
A 7-seat vehicle is often more practical for families, several suitcases, child seats or a stroller.
Larger Groups & More Bags
A 16-seat van may be recommended when a larger group is travelling with multiple checked suitcases or bulky travel equipment.
If we believe the vehicle requested will be too small for the actual booking, we will tell you and recommend a more practical option.
Why We Do Not Promise One Fixed Number of Suitcases
Suitcases vary greatly in size. Two cabin bags use very different space from two large checked suitcases.
Passenger number also changes how much luggage space is available.
For example, a 7-seat vehicle carrying two passengers has much more available luggage space than the same type of vehicle carrying six or seven passengers.
For the most accurate recommendation, tell us your passenger number and roughly how many large, medium and cabin-size bags you have.
Oversized Luggage & Special Equipment
Please tell us before booking if you are travelling with items larger or bulkier than normal holiday luggage.
- Large or extra-large suitcases
- Baby strollers or prams
- Wheelchairs or mobility equipment
- Golf bags
- Sports equipment
- Large boxes or unusual travel items
If possible, send us a photo or approximate size of an unusual item. This makes it much easier to arrange the right vehicle before pickup.
What If You Have More Luggage Than Expected?
Just tell us as soon as you know.
If your luggage changes significantly after booking, we will check whether the confirmed vehicle still has enough space.
If a larger vehicle is needed, we will explain the available option and any price difference before changing the arrangement.
Our aim is to solve the problem before pickup rather than have you discover at the airport or hotel that the vehicle is too small.
Can You Leave Your Luggage in the Vehicle?
In many bookings, yes.
Guests travelling between hotels or between a hotel and the airport may sometimes stop at an attraction while their luggage remains in the vehicle.
Please tell us in advance if your luggage needs to stay in the vehicle during sightseeing.
This is important because some longer sightseeing services use a return-pickup arrangement where the same vehicle would not otherwise need to remain with the booking.
If keeping the luggage in the same vehicle is important, we will take that into account when arranging the service.
Keep Important Valuables With You
Even when luggage remains in a confirmed vehicle, we recommend carrying important valuables with you.
This includes passports, cash, bank cards, jewellery, important documents, medication and valuable electronics.
If you are unsure whether luggage can remain with the vehicle during a particular stop, ask our team before your trip.
Tell Us Your Luggage When Booking an Airport Transfer
Airport transfers often involve more luggage than a normal sightseeing trip.
When requesting an airport transfer, please tell us approximately:
- Number of passengers
- Number of large checked suitcases
- Number of smaller cabin bags
- Whether you have a stroller
- Whether you need one or more child seats
- Whether you have oversized equipment
This helps us send the right vehicle the first time.
Not Sure Which Vehicle You Need?
You do not need to work it out yourself.
Send Minh Vu Travel your passenger number, luggage details and child-seat requirements.
If you have unusually large luggage or special equipment, you can also send us a photo.
We will recommend the vehicle that makes the most sense for your actual booking.
