Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City is one of the longest private car routes we offer — approximately 800 km and 14 to 16 hours of driving. For most individual travellers, flying makes more sense. However, for large groups where the per-car price divides well, travellers with significant luggage, or those who strongly prefer overland travel, a private car offers hotel-to-hotel convenience that no other option can match. The route passes through some of Vietnam's most scenic coastline before entering the flat Mekong Delta approaches to Saigon.

• 05:00–05:30: Pickup at your hotel in Hoi An
• 08:00–08:30: Coffee or rest stop (Quy Nhon area)
• 11:00–12:00: Lunch stop at a local restaurant (Nha Trang area)
• 14:30–15:00: Rest stop (Phan Thiet area)
• 17:00–17:30: Final rest stop before Ho Chi Minh City
• 19:00–21:00: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City — hotel drop-off

Actual timing depends on traffic and rest stops. Mention any preferences when booking.

• Depart before 05:30. A 16-hour drive needs a very early start to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at a reasonable hour. Leaving after 06:00 risks arriving very late.
• Consider breaking the journey. Nha Trang or Phan Thiet (Mui Ne) are natural overnight stops if you prefer to split the drive over 2 days. We can arrange both legs separately.
• Plan for 4 proper rest stops. Coffee, lunch, two afternoon breaks — a journey of this length requires regular stops to keep the driver and passengers comfortable.
• For most couples and solo travellers, flying is better. A private car makes most sense for groups of 7 or more, or travellers with large amounts of luggage who want door-to-door service.
