Go to Son Tra and Marble Mountains early. Both are noticeably less crowded before 10:00. The cave pagodas at Marble Mountains feel more atmospheric with fewer people inside.
Dragon Bridge fire show is Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 only. The bridge is still striking on other nights — lit up in colour over the Han River — but the fire and water display is the main event.
Marble Mountains has a lift for travellers who prefer not to climb the steep stone steps — useful for elderly guests or young children.
My Khe Beach is at its best in the morning — good light, calmer water, fewer vendors.
Han Market is worth 45 minutes for dried seafood, local snacks, lacquerware, and fabric — more authentic than the souvenir strip near the beach.

Linh Ung Pagoda — better than most people expect — The 67-metre Lady Buddha faces out to sea from the forested hillside of Son Tra. Quiet, well-maintained, and genuinely peaceful. The view over Da Nang Bay from the top of the peninsula is one of the best in central Vietnam.

Marble Mountains — the stop most people underestimate — Inside the cave pagodas are genuinely atmospheric — incense smoke drifting through ceiling openings in the rock, centuries-old shrines in near-darkness. Worth at least 90 minutes.

Dragon Bridge — fire, water, and scale — At 666 metres, the Dragon Bridge is hard to appreciate from photographs. On Saturday and Sunday nights the dragon breathes fire and water at 21:00 — one of the more unusual free shows in Southeast Asia.
